Compete is seeking an outstanding individual to join its Boston-based Online Media and Search practice. The Online Media practice at Compete is helping marketers and online advertising platforms accelerate their businesses as the media landscape continues to transform.
This experienced team member will be responsible for managing and developing strong relationships with existing clients and will also play a key role in new business development. As a senior member of the team, the Sr. Associate will manage the production of client deliverables and provide interpretation and insight to the findings uncovered by his/her teams.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage one of Compete's largest and most important Client relationships
- Creatively combine observed consumer behavior data with survey capabilities to resolve near and long term consumer demand uncertainties
- Conceive, lead and perform new analysis of consumer marketing issues and business practices using large datasets of online behavior and survey responses
- Oversee existing client relationships, including primary responsibility for up-selling and renewing
- Spearhead new client growth in collaboration with client development team
- Recruit, train and manage Online Media Client Services team to support client delivery capabilities
- Lead new product and service development initiatives in collaboration with analytics and development teams
- Develop and publish Compete-branded publications leveraging Compete data to promote Compete and communicate our capabilities to the market
- Speak to the press and present at conferences about industry trends and issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in Business, Economics, or other quantitative field
- MBA or equivalent experience a major plus
- 5 + years of professional experience in the Internet, consulting, consumer marketing, or market research
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in an online advertising role including major search engine/portal, ad network, publisher, or agency
- Deep understanding of Google, Yahoo!, and MSFT advertising properties
- Experience making consulting-oriented presentations to executive-level audiences
- Experience performing market research and analysis using large data sets
- Strong analytical writing skills and attention to detail
- Experience with survey fielding, management and methodology a plus
- Experience with SPSS, Unix environment, and data mining a (sql, etc) a plus
- Demonstrated track record of developing and managing long-term client relationships
- High energy level, unbounded enthusiasm and strong desire to excel in any circumstance
- Outstanding professional references required
