Compete is recruiting an outstanding individual to join its Boston-based travel practice, reporting directly to the Managing Director, Travel & Automotive. This individual will be responsible for performing data-driven analysis, developing insightful research reports for clients and helping cultivate long-term client relationships within the U.S. travel and/or automotive industries.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Analyze consumer marketing issues and business practices using large datasets of online behavior and survey responses
- Develop custom online research reports for clients that identify key online trends in their industries and provide recommendations that lead to better business results
- Support new client growth in collaboration with client development team
- Maintain day-to-day contact with clients assuring that their needs are met and that their deliverables are produced on time and at the highest possible quality
- Assist in the up-selling and renewing of existing clients.
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Business, Economics, or Research; MBA a plus
- 2+ years of professional experience in online/ecommerce analysis, consumer research & insights, or similar
- 2+ years of professional experience in the travel industry, the automotive industry, or other industry with highly-considered and higher-priced goods and services
- Experience developing original insights based on analyzing market research
- Self-starter with strong business writing skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated track record of developing and managing long-term client relationships
- Team player
- Outstanding personal references
