Position Description

Compete is recruiting an outstanding individual for immediate hire to help grow its expanding Client Services team.

Analysts mine our proprietary 80 terabyte database of Internet behavior data in order to help our clients better understand customer behavior. The Analyst will report directly to the Managing Director and will play a key role in creating and delivering business insights and recommendations to clients. Key responsibilities will include performing data-driven analysis, gathering and synthesizing industry research, and supporting Compete's business development and product development efforts. Outstanding performers will have an opportunity to grow with the company and gain deep insight into marketing analytics and business analysis.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Participate on client service teams, ensuring high value and highly renewable revenue streams from each client;
  • Help maintain URL classification and tracking systems
  • Interface with Compete's proprietary 80-terabyte database to extract relevant data;
  • Analyze consumer behavior and industry data, and prepare monthly client deliverables that address key business opportunities and challenges;
  • Contribute to marketable intellectual capital (proprietary knowledge base, whitepapers, research briefs, presentations and practice collateral) to increase the awareness and ongoing differentiation of Compete.

 

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Coursework and/or relevant experience in: Business, Information Systems, Math, Engineering, Economics or Computer Science
  • Proven skills with programming or database manipulation (UNIX and SQL knowledge a plus)
  • Experience with large datasets and data queries
  • Exceptional problem solving and business communication skills
  • Highly organized, thorough and detail-oriented
  • Expertise with MS Office
  • Ability to contribute and inspire, plus a strong entrepreneurial drive and spirit
