RJ Butaney
Senior Director of Business Development
RJ is a 5-year Compete veteran. He has designed countless custom advertising solutions for some of Compete's largest and smallest clients. At Compete, RJ manages relationships with major advertising platforms, publishers and agencies and collaborates with them to tailor integrated solutions to improve search, video, display and targeting services. There is no problem too large or complex that he would not love to hear about. RJ has experience in consulting, customer relations, IT systems, and behavioral analysis. RJ has an MBA from Babson College and a Bachelor of Science from Bentley College.
Michael Perlman
Managing Director
Michael brings experience in financial services, strategy consulting, and technology to Compete. Most recently, Michael worked at Falcon Investment Advisors, a middle-market private equity firm, where he analyzed investment opportunities across a variety of industries. Previously, Michael was a Group Manager within Siebel Systems’ strategy group where he developed sales, service, and marketing strategies for customers in multiple industries. Michael has also held strategic consulting positions at both ZEFER, Inc. and MarketBridge, Inc.
Michael holds a BA from Hamilton College and an MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University where he was a Park Fellow.
Allison Byers
Director
Allison brings experience in market research, consulting and business development to Compete. As a Director in the Online Media and Search practice Allison manages relationships with major advertising platforms and publishers, and plays a key role in new business development with them. She also manages client services professionals in the development of client deliverables and provides interpretation and insight to the findings uncovered by the team. Prior to Compete, Allison spent three years as a management consultant at a Boston-area start-up focused on client retention and loyalty. Allison also spent many years immersed in the world of market research both in clinical settings and at consumer goods companies. Allison holds an MBA from the Boston University School of Management and a BA with honors, summa cum laude in Psychology from Syracuse University.
