Compete Releases May 2009 Ranking of Top 10 Coupon/Deal Sites
Retailmenot.com Grows Nearly 200%, But Coupons.com Still Ranks #1
BOSTON
– (June 12, 2009) -- Compete,
a TNS Media company, today released the rankings of the top ten coupons
and deal Web sites for May 2009, based on data from Compete's panel of
two million US-based internet users. The report shows that coupons.com
still ranks number one, reaching over 11,570,000 unique visitors (UVs)
in May 2009 (up 17% since May 2008), followed by eversave.com
(8,161,000 UVs) and retailmenot.com (6,411,000 UVs).

“While Coupons.com continues to attract the
lion’s share of site traffic, we can’t overlook the
incredible performance of retailmenot.com over the past year. After
all, the site jumped from number six to number three, growing by nearly
200% over the past year,” said Matt Pace, director of retail
and consumer products for Compete. “Additionally, the site is
quickly becoming the destination of choice for coupon code searchers.
In fact, over the past three months, they’ve captured (on
average) 17% of all search referrals on the term ‘coupon
code.’ That’s over four times more ad share than
their next closest rival couponcabin.com.”
